Testimonials

As an international fighter I’ve experienced several therapies over the years to aid competition preparation and injury rehabilitation.
Michael took the time to fully understand the sorts of injuries that my sport can leave me with and spends time targeting the specific areas that are causing me trouble during treatments.
Since seeing him I’ve noticed a marked improvement in my mobility and my posture in general, which is very impressive after only a handful of sessions.
I would recommend Michael to anyone; he is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and professional.

Our daughter had been suffering for several months with severe neck and shoulder pain making her withdrawn and very tearful.
Michael was recommended and prior to the appointment our daughter was very withdrawn and in pain. After 1 appointment she came out a ‘different’ girl and literally skipped down the street, her pain had been relieved immensely. Since then she hasn’t complained of pain in her neck and shoulder to any great extent so well done Michael.

I have been suffering with chronic pain in my neck, lower back and hamstrings for over a year now. I have seen osteopaths and chiropractors with no improvement at all. Twelve months ago I saw a poster in Peak Fitness Advertising the services of Michael Sterling and with nothing to lose I decided to book an appointment. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Michael has worked on the areas that caused my pain as well as explaining to me how to prevent further problems. Following treatment my pain is much improved and I cannot thank Michael enough for giving me back my quality of life.

“As a professional footballer for some years I have suffered – as is a common condition with many other players , from niggling hamstring pulls and tears. This occurs especially during the pre-season and with periodic massages I had found this alleviated the problem but not eradicated the precise cause.”

“On the advice of a friend, I made an appointment to see Mike (Sterling). After two sessions my problem was cured by both, treatment and a prescription of rehab exercise. He explained that fascia build-ups and when we hold tension to protect or assist with nerve transmission to a particular area, footballers tend to hold that tension in the abdomen (i.e. the psoas). This means that this muscle dominates the glutes and consequently, the lower back and the hamstrings have to work unnecessarily harder.”

“Mike has devised a series of techniques that address this very specific problem. His expertise, knowledge and hands-on-technique need greater exposure and I cannot thank him enough. I now feel sharper and more relaxed both pre and post competition. Many thanks Mike.”
